- Internet Provider Setup
-
- To connect to the Internet, you must have an account with an
- Internet Service Provider (ISP). Included is information on
- the services offered my many ISP's. There are two ways you can
- set up a dial-up account with an Internet Service Provider.
-
- 1. Connect and Play Electronic Account Registration
- 2. Contact an ISP by phone and set up an account manually.
-
- Connect and Play
-
- Quarterdeck's Connect and Play capability lets you set up an
- Internet Account electronically with participating Internet
- Service Providers. All you need to do is provide your name,
- address, and credit card number, and Connect and Play will do
- the rest. It will connect with a secure registration server,
- and process your account immediately. In most cases, you can
- begin cruising the Internet within minutes.
-
- To help you choose which Internet Provider to use, each one has
- provided information on their service. Simply click on the
- name to view information about their services. When you've
- selected the Service Provider, click on Continue, and you'll be
- on your way.
-
- Manual Account Sign-up
-
- We have also included information on many other ISP's. Many of
- these ISP's are regional, so you would most likely want to
- select an ISP in your area, or an ISP that has local access
- phone numbers in your area. We suggest you can call the ISP's
- for more information on pricing, including the availability of
- local access numbers. Also included is a list of the information
- you need to get from the ISP when you set up your account, so
- that you can configure your software.
-
- If you have any questions about the service offered by any of
- the included ISP's, please contact them using the phone numbers
- provided.
